Pitchy the Pig also helps sell Pitch a Pigs, a sports promotion that every fan can participate in and a crowd favorite. Pitchy sells pigs, sponsored by the Iowa Pork Producers, at every home game. Between the second and third periods of the games fans 'pitch their pigs' on to the ice hoping to land on either the grand prize at center ice or on five other targets spread out on the ice that offer gift certificates to some of the area's best restaurants.
